Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary rehabilitation is designed to help people with chronic lung disease enjoy a higher quality of life. At Union County Hospital, this outpatient program benefits adults who have been diagnosed with asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis or other lung disease.

Patients attend exercise sessions one to three times per week for up to 12 weeks, using specialized equipment. We provide continuous monitoring and blood pressure checks as appropriate.

Program participation requires a physician referral. In most cases, insurance pays a portion or all of the program fees.
