Deaconess Names Illinois Region President

MARION, IL (Dec. 7, 2023) — Crossroads Community Hospital CAO and Heartland Regional Medical Center COO Will Davis named Illinois Region President for Deaconess Illinois.

In this new role, Davis will oversee operations in the Illinois market and organizational planning for theCEO William Davis Illinois facilities, which include Heartland in Marion, Crossroads in Mt. Vernon, Union County Hospital in Anna and Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud. He will also direct and coordinate operations and strategic planning in support of the mission and vision of Deaconess in this new role for the Health System.

Davis joined Heartland in 2017 as the Director of Materials Management and was promoted to assistant administrator in 2019, then associate CEO in 2020 and CEO in 2021. He has more than 12 years of executive leadership experience in Southern Illinois and has been national recognized as a “Rural Hospital CEO to Know” two years in a row by “Becker’s Hospital Review.” In 2022, he was named on their list of “75 Black Healthcare Leaders
to Know.” 

Under Davis’ leadership, Crossroads has been rated 5 out of 5 stars for the second consecutive year by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Five-Star Overall Quality Rating System report.

 In addition to his role at the hospital, Davis is also known for giving back to the region through civic organizations serving on a number of boards including as president of Marion Kiwanis Club. He earned his Master of Business Administration from McKendree University and his Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

Davis and his wife, Brandee, have an 11-year-old son and twins – a boy and a girl. Their family enjoys playing Mario Cart and Monopoly together as well as traveling. He has a strong faith in God and believes,
“Life is what you make it, so make it a great one.”
