Infusion Services

Union County Hospital provides infusion services for patients who require frequent infusions of medications including cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, patients requiring intravenous antibiotics, patients with blood disorders and other patients who require intravenous treatments but are not hospitalized.

We are dedicated to providing excellent patient care.  Nurses have specialized training in infusion therapy, and are focused on patient safety and comfort.  We offer a comfortable and convenient setting for those who require frequent infusions and medications.

Specially trained nurses provide a range of therapies and close monitoring to ensure patient safety.  Patients receive their infusion/transfusion in a semi-private room equipped with a comfortable recliner, bed, and individual televisions in each infusion bay.  We also offer use of our Wi-Fi, books and magazines, or simply a quite space to relax.

  • Heparin Port Flushes
  • Antibiotic Infusions (Vancomycin, Ceftriaxone, Cubicin, etc.)
  • B-12 and Magnesium Inactions
  • Minor Nursing Procedures
  • 24-hour PICC line insertion services

To receive out-patient infusion/transfusion services, you must have a referral from your doctor.
